Kids love it. So many things you can do with Madd Mattr. Stores in the meteor shell and it doesn't dry out like other putty's. This is a lot like kenetic sand but much better. The stretchy monsters are a big hit also they want to collect them all. Hope they have a second series soon. Going to try some of the other products that are educational that goes with the Madd Mattr.
I love Mad Mattr. It's one of the few toys I love to play with, too. I like how it feels in my hands, and it cleans up easily. I also love that it never dries out. I intend to give it as gifts going forward.
I have two children (5 and 2) and we've been through many kinds of Playdoh, kinetic sand, and oobleck through the years... but MadMattr is our new favorite and by far the best! MadMattr doesn't stick to anything besides silicone tools (that we've found so far), you can even pick it up off the carpet. And it never dries out--what more can you ask for?
My nephew absolutely loved these! I gave him 2, and he played with the meteors and monsters first, then had a grand time squishing the mattr around. He asked for more before I left. He wants to collect all the different monsters.
This kit is a ton of fun, even for me as an adult. The little bricks fit really well together and since Mad Mattr holds its shape pretty well it's a really fun compound to build with. It's kind of like making your own Legos to build with. Definitely recommend this set if you've got a little architect at home or if you happen to want to mess around with building things yourself. The one thing I wish was different is the pack of Mad Mattr that comes with it. It doesn't come in the resealable bag so you have to find a container to keep it in yourself.
I think it'd be really interesting if Relevant Play came out with another brick maker set with different sized brick makers. The same width but maybe different lengths, like half as long. I was making a little 4 wall brick building alternating the placement of the bricks like you would see in a real wall, and I definitely came across the need for bricks half as long when I was trying to leave gaps in the walls for doors or windows.
I play D&D with some of my friends and I brought my teal quantum pod with me to just keep my hands busy while listening to the story. Everyone had to check it out and seemed very interested in it so I decided to pick one up for each of them in their preferred color. I feel like these are the perfect size to work as gifts for adults. It's the perfect amount of Mad Mattr to be fun to play with on a desk or table, not too much to be too messy or take up a large amount of space but also not too little that you can't even really do anything with it.
This is also a really good size to try out the product without committing to one of the larger, more expensive products. So if you're on the fence about it definitely give one of these a shot! My personal favorites are teal, orange, black, and white. They seem to be less common colors in this kind of toy so it's really nice to see them available.
The only complaint I have is that the Jewel Tone line of colors isn't available in the quantum pods. I'm kind of trying to collect as many colors as I can and buying the bags can get to be a bit much. Relevant Play! If you're reading this please consider bringing the Jewel Tones to the quantum pod lineup! :)
I looooove love love Mad Mattr. It's a wonderful stress reliever for me and the kids in my life enjoy playing with it as well. The regular Mad Mattr colors are nice but I appreciate that they came out with this new set of richer, more vibrant colors. So far I've gotten the purple, green, and red. The purple is such a beautiful shade, definitely no complaints there. I was hoping that the green would be a bit on the darker side, like the purple is, maybe more like an emerald green but mostly it's just a brighter version of the original green. The red is a really nice, vibrant red, about what I expected but it does stain hands a bit. It washes off pretty easily with soap and water but I know staining bothers some so I thought I'd put it out there for anyone wondering.
On another note, Kinetic Sand has been a big product lately and it has some pretty strong similarities to Mad Mattr. They both have their pros and cons but I've found myself preferring Mad Mattr overall. It seems to hold its shape a bit better and it sticks to my hands less than Kinetic Sand. The grains of sand (or whatever material they use in Mad Mattr) are also much smaller so it has a smoother texture but still flows and falls apart much like Kinetic Sand does.
Our kit was missing a coupe of things, so I called and they IMMEDIATELY called me back and went well out of their way to make sure we got everything we needed and then some. Absolutely EXCELLENT customer service! We love the products and now the people behind them, too!
My children love this stuff! Vibrant colors, packaged well with resealable bag, great texture. I like that it is not messy like other tactile products. Relevant play had a nice selection of this product at a good price. Would recommend this product.
We have had so much fun with these coilz. They are really addictive because they are so tactile. There are tons of games you can play with these and the Coilz stadium has kept us busy and having fun for countless hours! I would recommend this toy for any kid over the age of 4!
